Easier E-Cycling

Chantilly, VA – March 1, 2008: PC Recycler and Turtle Wings are pleased to announce the signing of a merger agreement effective March 1, 2008.  Both companies have been offering electronics recycling services and data destruction services through-out the mid Atlantic region. The new company, called Turtle Wings, Inc. dba Turtle Wings and Data Killers, is now able to offer an even broader array of services.

“We are really excited about this merger because it means that we can offer a completely comprehensive range of services to our collective customer base.  For instance, now we can offer both on-site and off-site destruction of hard drives. Certified data destruction has become an increasingly important piece of our business as our customers become more and more concerned with data security issues, “said Elizabeth Wilmot, who will continue as President of Turtle Wings.

“PC Recycler has always had significant operational, processing and tracking strengths.  With the merger, we can now offer all of our customers a more robust asset tracking service which will allow our customers to comply with specific internal Green Initiatives as well as compliance regulations,” Wilmot added.

“We have always serviced a number of government contractors and now we have the NSA-approved equipment to offer destruction of classified materials.” offered Jeff Farber, the new Sr. Vice President of Turtle Wings, “Since Turtle Wings is, and will continue to be, a small-woman owned company with HUB zone certification and a GSA contract, we think our increased service offering will be even more attractive to our customer base.”

Turtle Wings offers a pick up and recycling service for all electronic and metal equipment including but not limited to: computers, monitors, printers, copiers, mainframes, hubs, stereos, cell phones, keyboards, and misc. electronics. They issue Certificates of Recycling.  Data Killers offers certified data destruction services for all type of media to nationwide customers. Services include secure transportation, purging, degaussing, crushing and shredding and they issue Certificates of Destruction.
