Security & Audit

It has been the experience of PC Recycler that many of our customers are not aware of what is being “thrown away or disposed.” Company policies and procedures are overlooked and mistakes are made. PC Recycler is your last line of defense; you can regard us as an insurance policy. We take pride that we save our customers from unwanted exposure, and liability situations. We protect our customer’s interests for them and maintain strict non-disclosure.

PC Recycler’s policy is to visually look at every item received. If we think it violates any one of local, state or federal laws or could create a liability situation for our customer, the item is identified. The customer is then contacted and appropriate action is discussed.

How do we do this?

  1. All hardware and hard drives submitted for data destruction are inventoried.
  2. If any paper products are received at the time of receiving, they are examined by trained personnel looking for confidential or private documents.
  3. All paper products are destroyed using only Department of Defense standards unless the customer specifies otherwise.
  4. All property labels, asset tags and any other identifying marks are removed before leaving PC Recycler’s control.
