By definition, philanthropy is the altruistic concern for an individual or society manifested by donations to institutions advancing human welfare. As an organization whose primary business objective is providing responsible, green solutions in order to help reverse negative impact, community-minded philanthropy became a natural progression for PC Recycler, Inc.
Sponsorship and Support
PC Recycler is a regular contributor to a variety of local organizations who require out-of-pocket sponsorship and support for various initiatives that benefit the metro areas of Albany, NY and Washington, D.C.
Community Collection
PC Recycler regularly makes its resources available to those in the community who wish to securely recycle computers in a way that does not harm the environment. PC Recycler understands that by providing a green alternative to the computer recycling dilemma it is allowing individuals to help reduce their personal carbon footprint. Since 2005, Community Collection events have been hosted each month by both the organization’s Albany, NY and Chantilly, VA locations. These events provide local residents the opportunity to affordably take advantage of PC Recycler’s disposal resources. To date, more than two million pounds of electronics have been recycled thanks to Community Collections.
