PC Recycler Inc.’s assurance is your agency’s safeguard guarantee against irresponsible electronics recycling and the liability of unwanted information exposure. PC Recycler’s environmentally sound solutions for the secure, effective management and removal of any organization’s end-of-life electronic assets are certified to meet or exceed all National Security Agency (NSA), Department of Defense (DOD) and National Institute Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements.

 
PC Recycler’s Chain of Custody
  1. All electronics are inventoried by serial number and tagged with a proprietary PC Recycler bar code for easy identification and tracking.
  2. All electronic data is rendered irretrievable by PC Recycler’s specially trained staff, using data destruction methods that are in complete compliance with HIPAA, FACTA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley and various other state and federal compliance measures.
  3. Additional security protocols, such as on-site degaussing or on-site shredding can be executed, based upon each client’s approved data destruction plan.
  4. Asset tags are removed from all electronics.
  5. Materials are shredded to a 10mm particle size using one of PC Recycler’s industrial shredders.
  6. PC Recycler clients are presented with an inventory list and Certificate of Data Destruction, notarized and signed by a PC Recycler officer, at job completion. This Certificate is a nationally recognized legal document of performance and can be used for an organization’s auditing and reporting needs.
All employees undergo extensive background checks, are U.S. citizens, must accept and sign a non-disclosure, confidentiality agreement and participate in ongoing training on security procedures. 

 

PC Recycler’s facilities are subject to constant intrusion monitoring and protection to insure the security of each client’s electronic assets and information. Additionally, PC Recycler’s personal truck fleet is the next best thing to transporting your recyclables in an armored car. Each is wired with the latest in GPS tracking technology and intrusion protection reinforcement.

Ethical Standards

If at any time during processing PC Recycler identifies an electronic asset that could create a liability situation for PC Recycler or the customer, i.e. has the potential to violate local, state or federal laws, PC Recycler will immediately contact the client to discuss appropriate action.
